libao-common software package provides Cross Platform Audio Output Library (Common files), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libao-common
libao-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libao-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libao-common *
You will get with libao-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
